The Amazon Spanish College in Colombia offers a opportunity to study Spanish while immersed in the Colombian culture and discovering the wonders of the Amazon rainforest. The Colombian Amazon is a destination replete with life, with unparalleled fauna and flora, where the queen mother is nature herself. Our Spanish Language School is located in Leticia, in the most Southern part of the country where Colombia, Brazil and Peru meet on the Amazon River. The unique setting of the city makes it a direct neighbor with the Brazilian city of Tabatinga and with the island of Santa Rosa, Peru. Leticia is a peaceful city with 40 000 inhabitants and an ideal place for your Spanish course. It also serves as the perfect base for eco-tourist activities as well as for the studies of wildlife and flora in the Amazon region.
As a part of our commitment to give you a unique learning experience we offer the possibility to combine your Spanish course with Amazon studies, Brazilian and Colombian dance and visits to natural reserves. Interaction with the local community through our volunteer and trainee programs gives you endless opportunities to practice your new Spanish skills and quickly come up to speed!
The Amazon Spanish College is centrally located in the town, one block away from the central Plaza Parque Santander, close to coffee shops and restaurants. You can stay with a Colombian host family or in one of our comfortable bungalows. The capacity of the College is up to 45 students per day.
The campus area is fully equipped with seven classrooms, coffee & juice shops, restrooms, social areas and a large garden. All classes are taught on campus. In the evenings we take the opportunity to enjoy the hidden treasure of Latin American movies. Furthermore in our endeavors to make the Amazon Spanish College a distinct educational destination in Latin America we offer free cultural classes such as Amazonian handicraft and Colombian cooking and visits to local communities.
